Make enough copies of the how our emotions reveal our values diagram (figure 5.1, page 106) for each student.

You’ll notice that the emotion words in this figure match the emotion words on the chart. If you make your own chart with your own emotion words, you could remake this handout, too, but it probably isn’t necessary. The point is to help your students see how emotions in general reveal what matters.

Decide what, if anything, you’ll teach your students about emotion.
